We offer a wide range of culturally relevant services to Indigenous students to foster academic success personal growth, and leadership development. Across our three campuses, our staff and faculty listen, coordinate, advise, collaborate and nurture.

UTM Indigenous Centre

The Indigenous Centre at 草榴2024新地扯一二 Mississauga works to support Indigenous students, staff and faculty, as well as inspire and welcome future Indigenous students. The Indigenous Centre works to promote equity for Indigenous people among students, staff, faculty and throughout the campus.

The Indigenous Outreach Program at 草榴2024新地扯一二 Scarborough is an opportunity for students, staff, and faculty to connect with Indigenous communities on traditional teaching land.

Centre for Indigenous Studies

Indigenous Studies at the 草榴2024新地扯一二 is an interdisciplinary undergraduate program within the Faculty of Arts & Science. The program is dedicated to understanding and supporting the priorities and aspirations of Indigenous peoples in Canada and throughout the world.

Knowledge Keepers & faculty

Elders embody a living memory of the past, a perspective on the present, and a guiding vision toward the future. They are a vital presence at the 草榴2024新地扯一二 and we encourage students to engage and grow in connection with them. Indigenous staff and faculty provide valuable teachings to students and the wider community.

Indigenous Tuition Initiative

Our Indigenous Tuition Initiative supports and strengthens relationships with Indigenous communities in Ontario, across Canada and in the United States. The initiative provides tuition support for students from nine First Nations communities in Ontario, Indigenous students from across Canada, and Native American/Alaska Native students from federally recognized tribes in the continental U.S.

Scholarships & awards

The 草榴2024新地扯一二 offers thousands of student awards each year, based on a wide range of eligibility criteria. Some of these awards are dedicated to students who self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit or M茅tis). For example, the recognizes students of Indigenous ancestry (Status, Non-Status, Inuit and M茅tis students). This is just one of many award opportunities available across 草榴2024新地扯一二鈥檚 three campuses.

Financial aid

Financial aid is designed to help make your education more affordable. You may be eligible for government financial aid like OSAP, and if that doesn't cover all your costs, our own programs, like UTAPS, can help fill the gap. We're committed to ensuring that financial need won't prevent you from completing your degree.

Band funding

The 草榴2024新地扯一二 accepts . Contact your Band鈥檚 Education Office or Coordination team to inquire about available funding to support your postsecondary ambitions.
