The Man Who Saved the World
Regarded by many as the father of modern peacekeeping, Lester B. Pearson was one of Canada鈥檚 greatest prime ministers and the only Canadian ever to win the Nobel Prize for Peace. As a statesman, politician and public servant, Pearson helped shape and define Canadian identity both at home and abroad. The Nobel Prize Committee called Pearson 鈥渢he man who contributed more than anyone else to save the world鈥� for his leadership in resolving the 1956 Suez Canal Crisis. Pearson graduated with a BA from the 草榴2024新地扯一二 in 1919.
