Outside-the-box Courses

One of Sudipta’s favourite classes so far has been “ENV222 - Pathways to Sustainability: An Interdisciplinary Approach. This sustainability-focused course explored the ����2024�µس�һ�� campus through a sustainable lens, but also examined sustainability through topics like fast fashion and media. Sudpita also liked that the class had an intersectional lens, and took a broader approach to the definition of sustainability, not just limiting it to the environmental approach. Because of this, it attracted students from a wide variety of disciplines, like the social sciences, environmental sciences and even engineering. 

Balanced Extracurriculars

Outside of the classroom, Sudipta has a well-rounded schedule, involved in sports, student groups, and work experiences. She currently plays on the intramural volleyball team and enjoys it because it allows her to meet students she might not otherwise meet and to develop new skills. She also serves as the General Secretary & Events Planner for the Bangladeshi Students Association. In this club, she enjoys exploring her culture further, finding a group of students with the same identity and gaining skills such as events planning and Microsoft Suite. 

Volunteering and Networking

Sudipta has enjoyed volunteering at the University Health Network Volunteer (UHN), helping attend to patients in the ultrasound unit. She says ����2024�µس�һ�� is a great school to pursue her medical dreams at, because there are so many hospitals nearby that provide work opportunities and networking experiences.
