Choose between Core 8 Programs, TrackOne (Undeclared Engineering) or our Engineering Science program, all designed to equip you with the skills and global perspective to lead in any field. You'll also complete at least 600 hours of practical experience, with the option to gain paid work experiences through PEY Co-op. 草榴2024新地扯一二 Engineering offers multiple pathways to match your interests and goals, whether you're ready to choose a discipline, want time to explore your options or are ready to dive into unique academic challenge.
Core 8, Declared Engineering
If you know what you want to study during your degree, you can apply directly to a Core 8 program:
TrackOne, Undeclared Engineering
For students with broad interests in engineering, this limited enrolment program offers the opportunity to explore multiple disciplines before choosing a specialization. During first year, you'll build a strong foundation while discovering which of the Core 8 programs best aligns with your goals and interests. At the end of the year, you'll select the program you'll join in second year for the remainder of your undergraduate degree.
Engineering Science (EngSci)
Engineering Science bridges the gap between scientific theory and engineering applications. This direct-entry program begins with two Foundation Years focused on engineering, math, science, computing and design. In your final two years, you'll choose from eight majors for focused, discipline-specific learning. Research plays a central role throughout the program, giving you the opportunity to investigate real-world challenges and work alongside leading faculty.
Enhance your degree
Pursuing an is a great way to deepen your expertise or explore new interests alongside your BASc. These options let you build skills in areas outside your core discipline鈥攁nd appear on your transcript when you graduate.
Arts & Science minors give you the flexibility to explore subjects beyond engineering, like languages, humanities or social sciences. With thousands of courses to choose from, it's a great way to broaden your perspective and complement your Engineering studies.
Engineering certificates let you explore specialized topics outside your core program, from leadership to emerging technologies. Each certificate requires a set number of designated courses and is recognized on your transcript when you graduate.
Engineering minors let you dive deeper into areas that spark your interest, like robotics, bioengineering or business, while you earn your BASc. Each minor includes a set of designated courses, and your achievement is recognized on your transcript when you graduate.
Work integrated-learning
Professional Experience Year Co-op Program (or PEY Co-op) is our flagship Engineering work experience program. It gives you the opportunity to graduate with up to 20 months of paid, real-world industry experience. You'll build your resume, grow your network and earn a competitive salary, all while working with top employers like IBM, Sanofi and Honda. This hands-on experience helps you stand out to future employers and launch your career with confidence.
