Adjusting as an international student 

Originally from Laguar, Pakistan, Arham was drawn to ²ÝÁñ2024еس¶Ò»¶þ because of the strong global reputation of the Rotman Commerce program and because of the diversity that the city of Toronto offered. As an international student, he appreciated the numerous resources available to him in the transition to a new place, such as the Centre for International Experience (CIE) on the St. George campus. One of his favourite memories with the CIE was the week-long International Orientation, in which selected international students get to stay on residence, tour the campus and attend sessions overviewing things like university functions, the college system and winter weather for those who may be from warmer climates. 

Flexibility in classes 

Throughout his undergrad, Arham has enjoyed the wide array of electives and interdisciplinary courses he's been able to take, broadening his learning beyond just business. For example, one of his favourite classes thus far has been "RLG204 - Islam," an unbiased and academic exploration of the religion, which he says has offered him a new and unique perspective. He also has enjoyed adding nuance to his Management specialist through his focuses in Finance and Strategy & Innovation. 

Building a well-rounded lifestyle 

Outside of the classroom, Arham stays busy as a campus tour guide, member of the intramural soccer team and by going to the gym. He says the opportunity to work on campus, specifically as a tour guide, has strengthened his people skills, crucial to his future career in business, and enjoys the community he's gained from playing intramural sports like soccer.
